In the beginning was the Word... And only then, sound. It grew, spread, swelled with energy and then exploded, sending sound fragments in all directions, breaking into the howl of a dog, the creak of a door, the beat of a heart, the hum of the crowd, the howl of the city, the cry of the universe. The world let in the chaos of sound, absorbing its destructive ravings. The world rocks in an agony of rhythms, further and further from harmony, closer always to hell, but... In this moaning insanity of the planet, there is a point of absolute harmony of sound and the human being. The strange drummers of Dadadang don’t fight sound, but capture it. They don’t argue with rhythm, but listen to it, and hear. They are one with the surrounding world of movement and sound, they blend in with the rhythm and dance. They cease to exist independently and become parts of a giant «futuristic machine». Masks make the musicians indistinguishable from one another. The audience, drawn in by the drummers and the endless stream of movement and High Tech sound, sense and under- stand the eternal and real unity of soul, body and sound, the essence of the Universe.
