The Perekatipole Theater justifies its name by its transient lifestyle over the last ten years. It moved from St. Petersburg to Narva, Estonia. Life on wheels, time on tour or at festivals – that is the style of their lives.
This family theater consists of two actors – husband and wife Stanislav Varkki and Larisa Lebedeva. But the small size of the troupe does not prevent them from creating a full repertoire.
The creation of the Perakatipole theater evolved from work with the famous Terra Mobile troupe in Paris under Valery Kefta. Stanislav Varkki performed in Slava Polunin’s Snow Show and is currently rehearsing a new work with him.
All of this rich experience in physical theater, clown craft, modern dance and street theater, received from the hands of masters, has been developed by the theater in its own way. The expressive lexicon of Perekatipole varies from modern to break dance, dram, pantomime to acrobatics. Add to this the ability of the pair to mix grotesque and lyricism, tenderness and humor, sadness and smiles, and we can be sure we are viewing a lively, talented theatrical duo.
