Director Sasha Zolotovitsky breaks the epic narrative and immerses the spectator in Goliath’s everyday life, in order to discern a living person in the biblical character of the giant, who possibly has become a hostage of fate. The director boldly uses post-irony and humor, works with the dynamics of light and shadow, alternates energetic scenes with meditative moments, viewing the timeless story as a contemporary's diary.
