Svetlana Vragova. After graduation from the Lunacharsky State Institute of Dramatic Art (GITIS, class of Y.A. Zavadsky), she was invited to the Pushkin Theatre (The Forties by A. Belinsky, Waiting for a Man after R. Solntsev). A director of H New Drama Theatre from 1981 to 1986 (Untilovsk after Beonov, A Monologue on the City Square by G. Zubkov, H Oblivion Hotel by R. Ibragimbekov), in 1986 Vragova Hame Artistic Director of the Na Spartakovskoi Ploschadi thi atre Studio (presently known as the «Modern» Theatre). H productions include Dear Elena Sergeevna by L. U umovskaya, Merry Days of Rasplueyev, based on the play H ilkin’s Death by A. Sukhovo-Kobylin, Video. Box. A Bullet H r E. Kozlovsky, Requiem for a Nun by A. Camus, No Milrors by N. Klimontovich, A Florentine Tragedy by 0. Wilde, H erina Ivanovna by L. Andreyev and many more. Honored H Worker of Russia.

The «Modern» Theatre (known before 1995 as the Na Sprtakovskoi Ploschadi Theatre Studio) was formed in 1986 In a graduating class of the Schepkin Theatre School. It premiered with a staging of Dear Elena Sergeevna by L. Razumovskaya, and its current repertoire includes works by A. Ostrovsky, A. Sukhovo-Kobylin, L. Andreyev, S. Beckett, I. Guberman, S. Mikhalkov, M. Zhvanetsky and other authors.
