Pavel Adamchikov was born in Minsk in 1970. In 1995 graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Arts, specialising in acting for dramatic theatre and cinema. Since 1996 he has been teaching scenic movement. He has choreographed the students' performance ‘Tutti Frutti'(1997), a scenic fight in the performance of 'Hamlet' at the Gorky Academic Russian Drama Theatre (1998). In 2001 has directed «More than Rain ...» at the Belarusian Cultural Development Fund. He is the winner of the prize for best director and the Grand Prix for best performance at the festival 'Nadszhda 2002’ in Grodno. In 2002 he was awarded with three prizes on the international theatre-television festival «Youth of the Century»: for directing, best actors' ensemble, best performance of the festival. Currently he is actor and director of movement at the Janko Kupala National Theatre.

On the basis of the play lies the fashionable approach of the continuation of classical works. 'More Than Rain’ is an original play, but it continues the plot of Chekhov’s 'The Seagull' and gives its own interpretation of the destiny of Kostia Treplev. The main hero is a generalized type of the artist, the young writer or dancer, maybe musician, painter... His name is Mr. Trap. Adamchikov himself plays this role. In this continuation, in this original treatment it is essential that Kostia does not commit suicide
