The GuoGuang Opera Company in Taiwan was founded in 1995. Recruited for the troupe were performers from the Beijing Opera companies from all across the island. This is the only professional Chinese Opera company in Taiwan. From the moment of its foundation the company has been striving to overcome the limitations of tradition and explore new performance styles and expand the traditional repertory.
