Manfred Meihoefer was born in Berlin in 1948. He trained as actor in Berlin and Essen; worked as actor in Stuttgart, Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Nuremberg, Vienna and Bonn with such directors as Zadek, Neuenfels, Huebner, Tabori. Meihoefer is the founder, director and "animator" of the United Troupe of Rubber Animals, presenting "Schiller’s Robbers" in very free way. This passionate family drama in a sandbox, in which classical plastic dolls and kitschy rubber squeaking of the little beasts become the protagonists of a «soap opera».
