This staging of “Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme” stands out for the subtlety, lightness and depth that we for quite a while haven’t seen in theatre…The search for subtle meanings doesn’t prevent the performance from being very funny and very easily perceptible. It beautifully blends together music, singing, dramatic art and dance… The classic looks and sounds fresh and freed of all clichés.The performance is meaningful, airy and poetic, not in the least measure owing to the beautiful sets by Eric Ruf..

…apparently music and dance are central to this production. When music and dance step in it’s the moment of true happiness. Besides it’s the rare case when Moliere’s comedy/ballet is staged in its original version. The actors are dancing so well that the festive performance becomes a real feast for an eye. <…>This “Le Bourgeois Gentilhomm” is a baroque rather than a classical staging. It lacks any academism. In a sense it could be called a popular theatre but there is no vulgarity in it. The young people must be particularly fond of it.
