On 3 December 2022, after a prolonged illness, Valery Ivanovich Shadrin – founder of the International Chekhov Theatre Festival and President of the International Confederation of Theatre Unions – passed away.
A farewell ceremony for Valery Shadrin will take place on 5 December from 11:00 to 12:30 at the Mossovet Theatre (16 Bolshaya Sadovaya St., building 1).
Flowers and wreaths may be delivered to the Mossovet Theatre between 9:00 and 10:30.
The funeral service will be held at 13:00 at the Church of the Great Ascension (36 Bolshaya Nikitskaya St., building 1).
The burial ceremony will begin at 15:00 at the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery (24 Ryabinovaya St.).
