"A Gentle Creature" – a stage adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's fantastic short story "Krotkaya" – has been presented as part of the Chekhov Festival programme. The production is a joint work by the City Theatre (Brazil) and the University of Valle (Colombia). It offers a contemporary interpretation of the classic work.
The production was created by a large international team. The directors are graduates of GITIS: Alejandro González Puche from Colombia (a student of A. Vasiliev) and Ma Zhenghong from China (a student of P. Fomenko). The cast includes actors from Brazil, with lighting design by a Syrian artist and dramaturgy consultation from Russia.
"A Gentle Creature" is running on the stage of the School of Dramatic Art theatre until 21 June inclusive.
